Kittery Point- Alan Michael Jones, 73 of Crocketts Neck Road in Kittery Point died suddenly on July 24, 2020 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Born in Bath Maine on December 12, 1946 he was a son to Barbara (Haley) Phillips and the late Victor Jones.

He moved to Kittery in his Junior year of high school, attending R.W. Traip Academy before proudly  serving his country in the United State Navy. Following his service to our country he earned a degree from the University of Maine Orono and later a Masters Degree from Lehigh.

In his early life he worked in various parts of the country while raising his sons. In 1991 he reconnected with and later married his high school sweetheart Dayle (Emery) Jones and they settle in Georgia.

Together they owned and operated a small business for many years before returning to Kittery Point to be near family where they continued to operate their business.

Mike was an avid sports fan who loved to fish and enjoy a good book.

He is survived by his loving wife Dayle Jones of Kittery Point, his mother Barbara Phillips of Augusta, Maine, his two sons and their families; Ian and Courtney Jones and Victor M. And his wife Shelly Jones, three grandchildren, and two sisters Vicki Smith and Patricia Guido as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be announced in the fall. Care for the Jones family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home.
