Obituary

BERWICK, ME-- Alfred Lemieux, 52, of Berwick ME passed away on Sunday November 25th, 2018 at home surrounded by his family after a two-year battle with cancer. Born in Lewiston on March 8th, 1966 he was the son of Jacqueline Shaw.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa, of Berwick; Daughter Lauren and her Husband Seth Lawson of Berwick; daughter Amy and her husband Kyle Cook of Kittery, daughter Carolann and her partner Brandon of Portsmouth, NH, his three grandchildren Chase and Colton Lawson, and Amelia Toomey, and his dog Defense.   He was predeceased by his mother Jacqueline Shaw, and son Jasper Lemieux. He enjoyed carpentry work, Duke Basketball, Notre Dame football, and had a passion for coaching. From volunteering for his daughter's youth programs, to Varsity Coach in Farmington NH, and returning home to coach basketball and soccer in his hometown of Lewiston ME, and eventually came back to Kittery where he finished off as the Middle School Boy Basketball coach. His favorite coaching memories were coaching his 3 daughters in their various and numerous sports, traveling down to North Carolina to

Coach at Duke University and North Carolina University at their respective summer camps, and when he took his daughters and their U11 AAU team to Florida for the National tournament. His most recent and loved endeavor was watching his three grandchildren at his own "papa daycare"

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 8th at 12pm at the Regatta room in Eliot, ME. There will be light refreshments, and a ceremony beginning at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Jimmy V foundation.

Care of the LeMieux family has been entrusted to J S Pelkey & Son Funeral Home
