Somersworth - Alice Milliard, 89 of Somersworth NH, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Riverside Rest Home, Dover NH after a brief period of failing health.

Born in Somersworth NH on October 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Joseph and Lydia Plante.

She worked for several years at Dover Shoe and later took care of children in her home.

Alice was a communicant of St. Martin Church of St Ignatius of Loyola Parish, and lifelong member of the Grange.  She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, picking berries, and watching game shows. She enjoyed her many vacations with family to Canada, Disney World, & New York.

She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband Roland Milliard.

She is survived by her son Dennis Milliard and his wife Lisa of South Berwick, ME, son Donald Milliard and his partner Louise Osborne, daughter Patricia Benner and her husband Alan, grandson Eric Milliard, great granddaughter Jessica Milliard, step granddaughter Lindsay Ryan Benner, brother Martin Plante, and sisters Louise Grenier, Irene Allard, and Cecile Brennan, many nieces & nephews.

Services: Visiting Hours will be held at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St, Somersworth, NH, on Monday, August 21, from 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 10 am at St. Martin Church of St Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 120 Maple St, Somersworth NH.
