Kittery, ME – Allen John Killeen, husband of sixty-five years to Judith Carol Killeen and father to Kim, Allen Jr., Kelly Sr., and his wife Susan, peacefully passed on June 26, 2024, at his seaside home in Kittery, ME. As a grandfather, he was unconditionally admired by his three grandchildren, Maegen, Kelly Jr., and Braeden. Allen is pre-deceased by his brother, Richard F. Killeen.

Son of John and Cecile Killeen, Allen was born February 27, 1934, and grew up in Lowell, MA. He earned his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lowell and followed his extensive work in the paper industry around the world. Allen's words carried the weight of perspective and intelligence, the warmth of compassion, and the light of his humor. His life was a tapestry of rich experiences of work and family, woven with threads of hard work, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to his values. Allen also lived with a profound sense of community, devoting his time to his faith and church and teaching his children the value of service and generosity. He will be remembered as brilliantly kind, highly compassionate, and incredibly loving.

Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at J.S. Pelkey and Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd., Kittery, ME. Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, July 10, at St. Raphael Church, 6 Whipple Rd., Kittery, ME.
