Obituary

Kittery-Alphonse Tanguay, 89, WWII veteran passed on May 15, 2015. Born to Louis and Elise (Renaud) Tanguay October 23, 1925. He lived in Somersworth, NH. then moved to Kittery, Maine for the last 40 years. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until he retired in 1980 He enjoyed working in his woodworking shop. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clement (Theresa) Daigle of Dover, NH, two daughters, Claire Laurenza, Reston VA and Mrs. Howard (Loraine) Scholtz, Lebanon, Maine, four grandchildren and three great grandsons, nieces and nephews. Per his wishes there will be no wake or services. Anyone wishing to donate may donate to York Hospital Hospice Services who took such great care of him during his final days. Care for the Tanguay family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
