Somersworth - Alton Leavitt, 79, of Somersworth New Hampshire went to be with the Lord, May 9th, 2018, at his home, surrounded by family.

Alton is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann; son Allan and his wife Sara, of Stratham New Hampshire; daughter Andrea and her husband Thomas Cole of Gorham Maine; grandchildren Brittany, Erin, Elise, Erica, Mitchell Cameron, Madison, Grayson and Liam and great-grandchildren Carter and Sydney.

Following a rewarding 33-year career with IBM, he owned and operated a successful video business.

He was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Somersworth New Hampshire.

Services: A time of visitation will be at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, from 4-6p on Friday May 18th and a celebration of life will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 25 Cemetery Road, Somersworth, Saturday May 19th, at 10 a.m. To leave online condolences please visit www.bernierfuneralhome.net .
