Anita Jane Gluth, 85, passed peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, April 22, 2024.

She was born on March 14, 1939, in Wakefield, NH, the daughter of Lester H. Reed and Evelyn (McDonald) Shevelin.

Anita worked & lived in NYC early in her career.  She retired to and resided in New England after her retirement, to be close to family and friends.

Anita enjoyed socializing in person and in chat room conversations with her large group of friends. She loved to play all types of games, especially a game of cards. Anita also enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs through the years, most recently her dog Target.

Anita leaves four siblings: a brother, Lester H. Reed, and three sisters, Carol McCabe, Susan Donnell, and June Reed; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nieces.

A private graveside service will be held for her at a later date.
