Rye, NH - Anita S. Lomas passed comfortably and at peace at Webster at Rye Long Term Care Facility on December 3rd, 2021.

Born in New York City on September 4th, 1937, the daughter of Sava and Pauline Wenger. She attended C.C.N.Y. Anita was the Executive Secretary at Famous Schools; when they decided to move all facilities back to Westport, Connecticut, there she met and married Harold Lomas (deceased December of 2002). When her husband retired, she also resigned as Communications Director for an international company and they moved to New Castle, New Hampshire in December of 1977.

Although retired, she was a long-time freelance contributor of word search puzzles for Dell Publishing Company. She was a member of the New Castle Planning Board, a volunteer at Strawbery Banke, a member of the Red Hat Society, Treasurer for 15 years of The Friends of New Castle Library and an active member and treasure for many, many years of the New Castle Congregational Church Guild.

Anita is survived by her stepson William Lomas and his wife Gwen, daughters-in-laws Hope and Betsy Lomas, 7 grandchildren and 2 nephews.

Interment at Orchard Grove Cemetery in Kittery Maine and a memorial service at New Castle Congregational Church will occur in the Spring of 2022. In Lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the New Castle Congregational Church Guild or New Castle Public Library.
