Alfred– Ann M. Tamburri, 78, of Alfred, Maine passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Southern Maine Health Center.

She was born on May 11, 1937 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Elwood A. Whittemore and the late Margaret (Laycock) Whittemore.

Ann was employed as a receptionist at Mt. Pocono School District in Pennsylvania.

Ann was a loving and caring person who volunteered over 1000 hours with York Hospital; was an avid golfer, loved going to York beach, and loved all animals, especially cats.

Ann is predeceased by both of her parents, and her husband, Micheal Tamburri.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Hodkinson of Chattanooga, TN, Theresa Allen of Scottsdale, AZ, and Marybeth Pallante of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Patricia Whittemore Shapleigh; lifelong friend and cousin, Kenneth Zamarchi; as well as many other cousins, nieces and one nephew; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Services: a graveside service will be held Friday, March 18 at 2pm, at Brooks Memorial Park on State Road in Eliot, Maine. A Celebration of Life will be held at Keywood Manor, 85 Pools Crossing Rd., Alfred, Maine, after the graveside service, at 3pm.
