Armand Plante, 88, of Sanbornville, NH, passed away November 9th, 2024, at Berkshire Medical Center, after struggling with vascular Dementia and a bout of pneumonia. Armand was born May 5th,  1936 in Somersworth, NH, to Alice and Ledger Plante .

After graduating from Somersworth High School, Armand joined the Navy for four years, where he worked on the USS Hubbard as a radar operator. He then married Judith Mayo on July 28th, 1957. They settled in Somersworth, where they would go on to raise their two children; son, Michael and daughter Lisa . Armand worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over 30 years. After retiring in 1992, he and Judy moved to Sanbornville on the lake for their summers and would escape to their home in Florida to get away from winters.

While family was always his greatest love, Armand had a passion for being and outdoorsman, especially fishing, hunting, and hiking (specifically, Mt. Washington). He also had a love for the Boston Red Sox . Later in his years, after retiring, he was able to spend time in Sanbornville on the lake pursuing his true outdoor passion of fishing.

He is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Judith Plante; and his son, Michael Plante.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Plante) Voorhis and Son in-law Timothy Voorhis; brother, Richard Plante and his wife Rachel; grandchildren, Kevin Learnard  and Jason Learnard, Stephen, Melissa and Tanya; and great grandchild Caitlyn.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association in Armand's name
