Barbara Jean (Burbank) Hall, 92 years old, of Kittery, ME, passed away Saturday, August 10th at Watson Fields in Dover, NH.  Barbara was born in Laconia, NH on June 30, 1932. She was the daughter of the late James Edwin and Clemency (Anstey) Burbank. Barbara was married to the late Frederick W. Hall, Jr. who passed away in 2011.

Barbara spent her childhood in Laconia, NH. She was a graduate of Dover High School. Barbara was active in the school chorus and plays as well as in an operetta having a leading part. In 1950, she was first in a talent contest in Dover, NH for the Rotary Club. Throughout her life she was asked to sing for many weddings and funerals; as well as singing solos in church and singing in the choir all her life. Her love of music was passed on to her children. They all were active in music, including instruments and vocals. Barbara loved her family. She was dedicated. She was always involved in their activities at church, school and home.

She was active in churches as she grew up being music chairmen, pioneer girl chairman and involved in the lady's ministry. She was very active at Eliot Baptist Church and active in witnessing. She loved to stop anyone and ask them "do you know how old I am and then somehow, she would just turn the conversation into asking them if they knew about her wonderful Lord and Savior. Barbara accepted Jesus to come into her heart and was baptized as a very young child and loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind.

Barbara was predeceased by a daughter Betty Jeanne "B.J." McLean on June 14, 2009. Surviving our loving mother/grandmother are two daughters, Judy Swible and her husband George of Nottingham, NH, and Kathy Stephenson of Johnson City, TN. Also, a son, Frederick W. Hall Ill and his wife Pat of Gray, TN as well as a son-in-law Michael McLean of Wells, ME: six grandchildren, John McLean, Jessica Burwood and her husband Ben, Sarah Swible, Adam Hall and his wife Elizabeth, Amy Rule; Timothy Stephenson and his wife Nicha of Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition, Six great-grandchildren, Sydney and Garrett Burwood, Ethan and Emily Hall, and Tommy and Lilliana Rule. Also, surviving Barbara is her sister-in-law Pauline R. O'Brien of Hampton, NH, and a dear cousin Robert Hall and Sheila of North Conway, NH, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

A time of visitation for Barbara will be held on Thursday, August 15th, from 5-7p at the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, ME. A graveside service will take place the following day at 9a at Brooks Memorial Park, State Road, Eliot, ME. The family invites all to come for a celebration of life service on Saturday the 17th, at 11a, at the Eliot Baptist Church, Rte. 236, Eliot, ME.
