Eliot- Barbara R. Knight , 81 of Eliot died on January 11,2015 at her home following a period of failing health. Born in Jacksonville Fla she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Louise ( Kielbasa) Blagdon. She spent many years in Hampton and Eliot, settling in Eliot on the River for the last thirty seven years. A talented singer she devoted much of her time to performing and serving on the board of directors of the South Berwick Community Chorus, looking forward to each performance. She also enjoyed gardening. Barbara a loving mother, who was always there when she was needed will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her,she is survived by a daughter Vicki Spainhour of Wells, two sons Bruce Fernald of Portsmouth and Thomas Knight of Ledyard, Ct, a sister Nancy Rousseau of West Lebanon Maine and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be private at her request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the York Hospice 16 Hospital Drive York Maine 03909. Care for the Knight family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey Funeral Home.
