KITTERY, Maine - Barbara (Pettigrew) Rowell died peacefully in her sleep Monday, April 25, 2016.

Bobbe was born July 29, 1919, in Portsmouth, N.H., to parents Herman and Myrle (Smith) Pettigrew.

Bobbe was married to Frank C. Rowell. Bobbe was greatly loved by so many. Her laughter and grace will remain with us all. She enjoyed gardening, archaeology, travel, golf, and above all Bobbe loved her family.

Bobbe was predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Richard, cousin Elaine, and children Bruce and Diane. Her brother Herman Jr., is still on Patrol.

Bobbe is survived by her sons Peter and Richard, her grandchildren Peter Jr., and Jennifer, dear friend Marty, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to her friends at Durgin Pines in Kittery, for their loving care during her last years.

SERVICES: There will be no services. Bobbe's ashes will be scattered at her favorite spot. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
