We regretfully announce the passing of Beatrice Alice Hilton of 132 Brave Boat Harbor Road, Kittery Point on January 16, 2023. Beatrice passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, at the age of 97.

Our mother, Beatrice, was one of the kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her unending love and guidance. Family and friends visiting her home over the years would always find her the consummate hostess, ever ready with warm coffee, food, and smiles.

Beatrice graduated from nursing school as a teenager and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse at York Hospital where she cared for thousands over many decades.

In 1947, Beatrice Alice Kenney married Chester Everett Hilton and together they went on to have 3 boys. Beatrice was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Chester, and her parents, Mary Ann and Russell Kenney, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Hilton. She is survived by her 3 sons, Richard of Jacksonville FL, Raymond of Kittery Point and Bruce and his wife Vickie of Lyman ME; grandchildren Kirk, Farrah and her husband Joseph McGuire, Shane, Kayla, Liam and his wife Kristin, Conor; and great-grandchildren William and Molly.

Services will be held on January 27 at J.S. Pelkey and Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, with visitation from 2pm to 4pm with services to follow at 4pm.  A catered dinner and celebration of life will be held at the Lions Club, 117 State Road, Kittery immediately following the services.  A burial service will take place in the spring, when she will be laid to rest next to Chester.
