Beatrice L. Hunter, a lifelong resident of Kittery, Maine, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness.

Born and raised in Kittery, Beatrice attended local schools and proudly graduated from R.W. Traip Academy in 1970. Throughout her life, she worked in various customer service roles, but her true joy came from her years as a waitress in several local establishments. Beatrice loved connecting with people—her customers, coworkers, and friends became an extension of her family. She was cherished for her lively spirit, her gift for conversation, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.

Beatrice is survived by a daughter, Melody Wade; brother James Wade and wife Elizabeth of Bath, ME; sister Bonny Fernald of Kittery, ME; sister Barbara Davies and her husband Ricky of Summerfield, FL; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Joseph Wade; brother Joseph Wade; and nephew Joey Fernald.

Honoring Beatrice's wishes, there will be no public services, and her burial will be held privately with family.

Beatrice will be remembered for her strength, her spirit, and her unwavering love for the people in her life. She will be deeply missed.
