Bernadette (Turgeon) Adams, 96 formerly of Summer Street died May 19, 2014 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Somersworth April 2, 1918 the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Goudreau) Turgeon. Bernadette was a graduate of St. Martin Academy and a longtime communicant of St. Martin Church. Prior to retirement, she was an inspector at area shoe shops. She was the widow of Robert Adams. Members of her family include: her sons, Paul (Gloria) Adams of Conover, NC, Roger (Lauretta Blanchette) Adams of Rollinsford and Richard ( Karen) Adams of Somersworth, two brothers, Joseph Turgeon of Fl. and Richard Turgeon of SC also several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 6 sisters. The wake will be Thursday from 8:30-9:45am at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South St. Somersworth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Martin Church Somersworth. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
