Bernadette (Bernie) Dubois, 77 died Friday, January 19, 2024 at home after an illness. She was born on February 11, 1946 in Somersworth, NH, the daughter of the late Albert J Couture Sr. and Beatrice (Nadeau) Couture.

A lifelong resident of Somersworth, she attended St. Martin's Academy and graduated from Somersworth High School in 1964. She graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1967, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Frisbee Memorial Hospital, Wentworth Douglas Hospital, Riverside Rest Home and the Studley Home. She was a member of the St Ignatius of Loyola parish in Somersworth.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Dubois of Somersworth, son Bill Dubois and wife Cheryl of Ocala FL, daughter Sue Dubois and partner Steve Fabian of Somersworth, sister Lillian Dube of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers Albert Couture Jr, Robert Couture and Paul Couture.

At Bernie's request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, Bernie requested donations be made to either the Cocheco Valley Humane Society in Dover, NH or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
