Summerville, SC – Bernard D "Ted" Rogers 83, of Summerville, SC, passed away on August 3, 2023 after a period of failing health. Born on September 2, 1939 the son of the late Bernard S. Rogers and Dorothy L. (Nutter) Rogers. Ted was raised in Eliot and attended Eliot schools.

Ted resided in Eliot for 60 years before moving to South Carolina where he delicately landscaped his retirement home leaving the cold and snow of New England behind. Ted's passion was operating heavy equipment beginning as a teenager and retiring at age 70. During his career he worked for Merritt Shapleigh Const., L.W. Morgridge Const., Kittery Water District and Ray Grover Const. and most recently Landmark Land Development. When not working, Ted could be found building stone walls, landscaping, planting flowers and shrubs around their home.

He is survived by wife Janice Rogers of Summerville, SC, daughter Kathleen Delozier of Rollinsford, NH, a son Michael Rogers, and wife Bonnie of Kittery, ME and grandchildren Chipper Johnson, Amanda Buckley, Krystin Mawby, Kayla Dredge, Timothy Rogers, and Heidi Johnson. Great grandchildren Jackson Buckley and Nevaeh Buckley. Stepchildren Tracey Smith of North Berwick, ME, Tina Harley of Seabrook, NH, Carmen Leccese of Cape Neddick, ME, Pam Calkins of Converse, TX and Clinton Harley of the Philippines. Also, his two cats that he adored, Pretty Kitty and Sweetie.

Ted is predeceased by his parents, a brother William D. Rogers and his first wife Kathleen F (Hoyt) Delvalle. At Ted's request, there will not be any services.
