Bette Ann Orr, born on February 16, 1947, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, just shy of her 78th birthday.
Bette Ann was a kind-hearted and loving individual who dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and family. She had a remarkable ability to put others first, always offering her support and care to those around her. Her warmth and selflessness left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Bette Ann enjoyed listening to country music, reading, playing cards, and visiting the casino in her leisure time. These activities brought her joy and reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life.
Her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. May the love she gave so freely continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Born in Portsmouth, NH, and raised in Eliot, Maine. She Left behind Her son, Michael Blake, daughter Shannon Orr-Welch; her grandchildren, Kennedy Orr, Christopher Richardson Jr, Michael Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Brianna Stephens-Soucy, Alexis D'Amour, Ed Jensen, Steven Motley, Aaron Motley; great Grandchildren, Havana Orr, Brady Morphy, her sisters Peggy E Murray, Linda D Bynion, Susan J Milinski, and brother Jerre a Place. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis Joseph Orr; her daughters, Deborah Ann Blake and Vivian Margaret Orr D'Amour and Mother, Margaret Ellen Burgess-Place and father, James Alvin Place; her sister, Sylvia Barbara Place-Bubar; and brother, James Harold Place.
Bette Ann's memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, at 11 a.m. at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home in Kittery, Maine.
