Obituary

Beverly A. Chabot, 80, of 111 Maple St. died January 17, 2013 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health. Born in Swampscott, MA. ,May 7, 1932, she was the daughter of Armand J. and Emma M. (Thibeault) Bourque. Beverly graduated from St. Mary Academy in Dover and attended the University of New Hampshire. She served proudly in the Air Force, and following her discharge, she worked at General Electric, and then worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Vittands. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Paul Chabot. Her children Donna Vittands and husband Ingvars, Brenda Moran and husband Craig, Marc and his wife Molly and Lynda Goossens and husband Tim. Her siblings include a brother Armand Bourque and wife Terri and a sister Marilyn (Jean) Boudreau. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, each had a very special place in Memere s heart: Anika Vittands, Harry and Marley Chabot, Spencer and Krysten Goossens, Shawn, Sarah, Stephanie and Scott Moran. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Bourque. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Victor Boudreau. She was a tireless crusader for the underdog, and made a point to do whatever she could to fix the problem whether that meant picking apples, calling local businesses for donations to the food pantry, starting a support group for local fibromyalgia sufferers, collecting clothes for the local children s home, sharing a joke with someone in need of a little humor, or baking her famous brownies for a repairman, visiting nurse, sick friend. The family is grateful to all those who stopped by to share with them the stories of mom s sense of humor and the little known kindnesses she made a point to offer. There will be no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at St. Martin Church, West High Street, Somersworth. Donations in Beverly s name may be made to The Community Food Pantry, Inc.
