Rochester – Blanche B. Lessard, 92,  died November 10, 2023, at Studley Home following a period of failing health. Born in Somersworth, March 20, 1931, she was the daughter of Albert Gagne and Rose (Labbe)Gagne Taylor and married to Raymond Lessard who pre-deceased her in 2010 .

She lived most of her life in Somersworth, attended local schools and is a lifelong parishioner of St. Ignatius (St. Martin) Church. Blanche was a long time employee of GE  in Somersworth and retired in 1986.

In 2002, Blanche and her husband Raymond were instrumental in the creation of The Summersworth Historical Society & Museum.  They spent many hours together and donate many artifacts of their own time in Somersworth. Blanche created Note cards and restored many
old pictures while being an active member.

Blanche is survived by her sister. Julie Laprise and sister-in-law Pauline Baillargeon. She was pre-deceased by her parents, sisters, Antoinette Roy, Anita Perreault and Lena Perreault and brothers Albert Gagne and George Gagne, and a goddaughter, Diane Perreault Felts. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 18, at 9am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, St Martin Church, in Somersworth, the Rev. Andrew K. Nelson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth
