Kittery-Bradley Nelson Williams, 87 of Sterling Road in Kittery died on July 27, 2022 at Durgin Pines in Kittery following a period of failing health.
Born on September 13, 1933 in Kittery Maine, he was a son of Roscoe Thomas and Juanita Helena (Dow) Williams. He attended local schools graduating as an honor student from R W Traip Academy in 1952.
He entered the United States Marine Corps serving in the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. Brad worked as a machinist for forty three years at RH Ripley and Son in Portsmouth.
He married his loving wife of fifty three years Janet (Moore) Williams and together they made their home and raised their family in Kittery.
He was active in his community serving many roles in the Kittery Lions Club and receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship for his dedicated service. Brad was an active parishioner at Second Christian Congregational Church, UCC, he served as a scout master and was a volunteer for York Hospital delivering meals. He enjoyed all Boston Sports teams, reading, time spent with his family and many years at camp on Mousam Lake.
He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Katrina Benge, son Matthew Williams and his wife April and their son August, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his eight brothers and sisters.
Friends are invited to visit with Brad's family on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 1-2pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home, where a funeral will be celebrated at 2pm with the Rev Brad Hirst officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Kittery Lions Club or a charity of one's choice.
