Brenda Joyce (Frisbee) Kinmond of York, ME formerly from Ossipee, NH died peacefully on October 28, 2023 at Sentry Hill at the age of 83.

Brenda was the daughter of the late Solon and Edith Frisbee, proprietors of Frisbee's Market in Kittery Point, ME.  While growing up, Brenda was a waterski performer with the Pepperrell CoveWaterski Club.  She graduated from R.W. Traip Academy in 1958 and Gorham State Teachers College in 1962.  Brenda married her beloved husband, David W. Kinmond in June of 1962.  They moved to Veazie, ME where Brenda taught first grade in Orono and David taught science at Old Town High School.  Brenda and David moved to Ossipee, NH in 1967 and lived there for 52 years.  Brenda taught Kindergarten and Pre-school in Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro and Ossipee while her children were growing up.  Brenda and David owned the Weathervane North Restaurant in Wakefield, NH and Brenda worked for Kokopelli Jewelry before her retirement.

Brenda was a devoted member of the Second Congregational Churchin Ossipee Village.  She sang in the choir, served as a Deacon and was a member of the Christian Education Committee.  She was also amember of the Ossipee Garden Club.  Brenda loved gardening, making crafts, swimming in her pool, cross country skiing and cooking.  She was an instrumental part of her children and grandchildren's lives.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and never missed any of their events.   She was caring, loving, a kind friend to all and had a smile that would light up a room.  She cherished her family and loved getting together for meals and parties. Brenda had a wonderful group of friends who provided her much love and laughter throughout the years.

Brenda is survived and loved by her husband of 61 years, David of York, ME. Her son Scott D. Kinmond and wife Anne of Loudon, NH and daughter Heather Kinmond Skelley and husband David of Hamburg, NY.  Grandchildren: Kayla Kinmond Towle and husband Robert of Loudon, NH; Meghan Kinmond Berry and husband Tanner of Tuftonboro, NH; Giana Cubeddu of Alton, NH; Rebecca and Joshua Skelley of Hamburg, NY.  Great-grandchild: Brooks ElliottTowle.  Her sister: Judith (Frisbee) Richardson of Elliot, ME; Step-sisters: Alice Emery and husband G. Richard Emery and Mary Seward both of Kittery Point, ME; sister-in-law: Lorraine Frisbee, York, ME and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and David Frisbee.

Brenda's family is extremely grateful for the wonderful care she received while a resident at Sentry Hill as well as the care of Beacon Hospice at the end of her life.  The family will celebrate her life at a later date in accordance with her wishes.   Donations in her memory can be made to the Second Congregational Church, PO Box 2, Center Ossipee, NH  03814.
