South Berwick, ME - Brian J. Chase, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021at Wentworth Douglas Hospital.  He was one of 6 children born to Roland F. Chase and Racheal M. Chase (Brochu) of South Berwick, Maine.  Brian was born on July 30, 1953 and graduated from Marshwood High School in the class of 1972.  He married his high school sweetheart, Sheila Chase (Blaisdell) in 1973.

He worked at Hannefin Parker (Watts Fluidair) for 33 years as a maintenance mechanic. It was job that he loved, having a multitude of machinery to troubleshoot and repair. He was a proud member of Sons of the American Legion Post 47 in Rollinsford. He was also a member of Saint John's Lodge No. 51.

Brian took great pleasure in camping and enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people wherever he traveled. He played horseshoes in his younger years. He was competitive at pool, and really liked playing with his father and son. He listened to bluegrass and country music, and traveled throughout New England to many festivals and perhaps may have picked up a harmonica or two.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sheila Chase (Blaisdell), two children, Eric Chase and Tracy Chase, two grandchildren Kristiana Chase-Demanche and Chase LaGrassa, 2 great grandchildren, Julian and Rose. He was survived by Gail Chase, stepmother. Also survived by 5 siblings, Sharon, Roxanne, Michael, Denise, and Tom and their spouses, Gordon, Gary, Denise, Joe and Jennifer. He was predeceased by his father Roland F. Chase and mother Rachael M. Chase (Brochu) earlier in 2020.
