Bruce Furbish, 70, of Kittery, Me passed away Sunday September 18, 2022.  Born April 18, 1952 at York Harbor Hospital, he was the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Furbish and the youngest of eight children. Bruce was a lifetime resident of Kittery where he attended Kittery schools and graduated Traip Academy class of 1971.

He is survived by his wife of forty five years Cissy Furbish, son Michael and daughter Amanda, grandchildren Keegan Furbish and Jillian Rowe as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bruce and Cissy own and operate Best Automotive in Kittery for 32 years.  He has been a mechanic most of his life always fixing something and in his younger years seeing how fast it could go. He was proud of his 1969 corvette that he raced at New England Dragway.  He worked at Port City Nissan and Precision Auto in Portsmouth for many years before going into business at his own garage.

Alaska was always a dream trip for him and this past July he finally got there to go Salmon and Halibut fishing.

Early in life he enjoyed lobster fishing with his dad and his oldest sister Gwen.  He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, snowmobiled and enjoyed his time at camp in Hartland, Maine with his family, friends and neighbors.  He loved his Springer Spaniels Maggie, Molly, Kodi and his beloved Brandy.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. ​
