Born June 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Miriam (Davis) Poitras and Theodore Poitras. Carol was a graduate of Westbrook High School with the class of 1957. Following high school, Carol pursued a career in hair dressing and nursing.

Carol married the love of her life, James W. Cole, December 28, 1962, beginning a marriage that spanned 50 years. Her family was her greatest joy and her ultimate blessing was being able to be a stay-at-home mother raising her children.

You could always find Carol hosting coffee time with friends and neighbors. Carol enjoyed crafting, knitting, and crocheting.

Carol’s first love was her family. She never missed a school or extracurricular event for her children. Spending time with her family brought her the utmost happiness, especially when it came to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her grandchildren were Casey Cole and his wife Kelsey, Ryley Sullivan and her partner Marcell Mitchell, Alec Damsell, Teryn Damsell, Aidan Sullivan, Caleb Cole, and Gideon Quartararo. Her great grandchildren were Axel and Azai Mitchell. Carol is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
