HAVERHILL - Carol Yvonne LaBranche, 82, of Haverhill, MA passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2023, after a brief illness. Carol's beloved son's Logan LaBranche and Todd LaBranche were with her at the time of her passing.

Carol was born on November 30, 1940, to Raymond Desjardins and Dolorosa (Doyon) Desjardins. Carol was one of the strongest people we knew. Carol became a single teen mom at just 15 years old to her oldest daughter Darlene. Carol kept her, despite being told she should give her up.

Carol married her husband Louis (skinny)LaBranche on July 3, 1959. They welcomed three more children and Carol gained a bonus child, Glen.

Carol loved going on adventures with Logan. She loved going to the ocean, and she loved cooking (Carol was once terminated from a nursing home for making the residents delicious home cooked meals). Carol also loved game shows, often knowing all the jeopardy answers. Carol loved cats and babies. Carol was not afraid to speak her mind, she told it like it was. Carol wanted the best for her family, and we hope that she is looking down on us from Heaven and she is so proud of the people she helped us become. We miss you so much.

Carol is survived by daughters; Darlene Lemire and husband Ric of Rochester, NH, Leslie Allain and husband Bruce of Farmington, NH, Sons; Logan LaBranche of Haverhill, MA, Todd LaBranche and wife Diana of Wakefield, NH, Glen LaBranche and wife Sue of Haverhill, MA; nine grandchildren: Brooke Johnson, Kendra Tsiros, Myles Johnson, Justin Allain, Hunter Allain, Zack Brigham, Paige LaBranche, Jennifer Yandell and Heather DiLauro. Also, many great grandchildren.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Dolorosa Desjardins, and her husband Louis LaBranche.

Calling hours will be from 5-7pm, March 10t at Bernier-Pelkey Funeral home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, NH. A funeral mass will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, March 11th, at St Ignatius of Loyola Parish St. Martin Church, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth, NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to their local ASPCA in Carol's honor.
