Obituary

Carolyn R. Remick b. 03/03/1929 d. 11/17/2025, beloved mother to children, Reginald (Rex), Mary, and Stephen, passed away at The Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH, due to complications of Alzheimer's Disease.  She was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Biddeford, Maine, in 1929 to Leroy Rowell and Maude Rowell. Carolyn studied English and childhood education at the University of Maine Orono then going on to work for the town of Kittery in the School Department.

Carolyn was a devoted mother to Reginald (Rex), Mary, and Stephen. She always said their birth changed her life for the better. They always felt that in the unconditional love and support she provided.

She had many talents and interests: Music, Knitting, Sewing, Gardening, Dancing, and a strong love of animals, to name a few.  Carolyn was always up for adventure, going in the tractor bucket to pick apples. A ride in the man lift to trim a tree, four wheeling with the grandchildren, flying, motor cycling with her husband. Family ventures to dinners on the beach, snowshoeing, and cooking over the campfire, Camping in the camper that we named Pioneer Palace, and so much more.

Carolyn, being the youngest in her family, was pre-deceased by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by daughter Mary Remick of Eliot, sons Rex and his wife Jane of South Berwick, and Steve and his wife Cindy Remick of Eliot, grandchildren Sarah, her Husband Jon, Samantha, her husband Steve, Kelly, Sean, his wife Katie, and Michael and great grandchildren; Joshua, Charlotte, Rebecca Turner, Lia and Riley Holden-Remick and Lila Remick.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Pelkey Funeral Home at 12:00. A time of refreshment will follow at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.jspelkeyfuneralhome.com
