Obituary

Somersworth - Cecile "Sue" Fournier, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Cecile was born in Montreal, Canada on November 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Delima (Aubert) Bellemare. She married Albert "Jimmy" Fournier in 1945 and moved to Somersworth, New Hampshire where she called home and raised four daughters. For 50 plus years, she was a professional seamstress and also gave sewing classes to hundreds of local ladies. She was a very fashionable lady who also designed clothes; was very talented and had an eye for fashion. Cecile loved to knit, quilt and was an avid gardener; she definitely had a green thumb; and in her earlier years was involved in politics. She was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy in 1993, her daughter, Nola in 2009, her sister, Jeannine and brothers, Paul, Gaston and Marcel. Survivors include her daughters, Diane and husband, David Carignan, Monica "Nickey" and her husband, Michael Suprin, Michelle and her husband, Brian Beaurigard; Grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Carignan, Anne Marie Dudley, Keith and Craig Irwin, Stephanie Houle, Jennifer Leary, Danielle Daigle, Corey, Dylan, Jacob and Tayla Patch; her great grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Spencer and Riley Carignan, Nicole Dudley, Amelia and Emma Irwin, Emily and Rosalind Houle, Mason Irwin, Mason Leary and Summer and Corey Jr Patch; siblings, Madeline, Raymond, Rene', Pierrette, Andre, Lise and Nicole. The family would like to thank Dr. Harrigan and the staff at Frisbie Memorial Hospital and also the Rochester Manor where she lived for the past year. A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 AM at St. Martin Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 120 Maple Street, Somersworth, with A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated immediately following at 11AM, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Fr. Michael Taylor, Pastor will be Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr # 110, Bedford, NH 03110 and/or the Alzheimer's Association, 166 S. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
