Somersworth – Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Cecilia J. Dubois of Somersworth past away Wednesday June 27, 2018 after a period of failing health surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Rochester, NH on May 26, 1938, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louise Dumais. She was a lifelong resident of Somersworth.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald, daughters Denise Casey and her husband Jim, Debra Hambrook and her husband Michael, and a son David and his wife Donna. Cecilia was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Corey, Patrick, Meghan, Jillian, Nicole, and Laura. In addition, two great grandchildren graced her presence within the last year, Raelyn and Grant. Cecilia also leaves behind a sister, Anita Keays and her husband Thomas.
For over 30 years, Cecilia was employed as the Guidance Secretary of Somersworth High School, a role she loved. Her great passion in life was her family. From supporting the Cheerleaders within the family to Scout Leader, dedicated fan of Hockey Games to Softball, Baseball to Basketball, Cecilia was there. Who could forget the days of playing games, hanging out by the pool with the kids, walking the beach, or just the simple times of talking about what is on your mind to act as that sounding board of great advice. In addition, she loved the days of playing cards with her great friends on Tuesday afternoons.
She regularly donated handmade items to her church, pink scarfs and hats for breast cancer survivors. Cecilia will be greatly missed for her kindness to others, thoughtfulness to all, understanding and her forgiveness attitude.
Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday July 2, 2018, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish St. Martin Church, 120 Maple St, Somersworth, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cecilia's memory to either St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Diabetic Association-Camp Carefree, PO Box 2118 Wolfeboro NH 03891.
