Charlotte C
Hinds
Sep 1, 1934 — Mar 27, 2026
Dallas Plantation, ME – Charlotte Carol (Tuttle) Hinds, 86, formerly of Goodwin
Road, Eliot, died on March 27, 2026, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn,
Maine, with her daughter by her side.
Charlotte was born in Dover, NH on September 1, 1934 to Alice (Nelson) Tuttle
and Charles Tuttle. She was raised in Eliot and attended local schools.
Charlotte married the love of her life of sixty-two years, Ronald "Ronnie" Hinds
and together they built their home and raised a family in Eliot.
Early on, Charlotte cleaned, was a cashier at Dan's Supermarket, and was a
waitress at King Tut's Restaurant. She then worked in the office at Seward
Construction, Robbins Auto Parts in Dover, and Hanscom's Truck Stop.
She was a loving wife, amazing mother, and doting Nana. Friendships were
important to her. She was always ready for a party, going out to clubs, playing
dominoes, going for MGB cruises, and traveling. She was also up for a good
concert, play, shopping or a girls weekend with her daughter.
She enjoyed knitting, playing games on her iPad, reading books, gardening, and
feeding her birds. Starting in the early 1970's summers meant time at Mousam
Lake enjoying family and friends.
Charlotte leaves behind her daughter, Jody Hinds and grandson, Justin Stebbins,
his fiancé Sabrina Stephens, three grand pups, sister, Sandra Brewster, brothers
Ken and Dennis Tuttle and his wife Valerie, many nieces, nephews and dear
friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Ronnie (2021), her
daughters, Tammy, Pamela, and Roni Sue.
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Saturday, June 6, from 1 – 2 PM, at
Living Waters United Methodist Church, 238 Dow Highway, Eliot, where a
memorial service will be celebrated at 2 PM. Afterward, please join the family in
the fellowship hall for an array of "Sweet Treats".
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Charlotte's memory to the
