Berwick, ME - Claire M. Bisson, 85, of Berwick, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Pittsfield, NH on June 26,1932, to the late Paul A. and Eva M. (Couturier) Beaupre. Beloved wife of the late Donald Bisson; Former wife of the late Gerald Gagnon; Cherished sister of the late Paul Beaupre, Donald Beaupre and Theresa (Beaupre) Martin, beloved as well by her late aunt Florida Audet..

A graduate of Somersworth High School and St. Elizabeth's Hospital Medical Center School of Nursing, she worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of settings including Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Private Nursing. Claire was an avid New England Sports fan. In recent years she enjoyed music, reading and cooking shows and took her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her much-loved children, Mark Gagnon, and his wife, Deborah of Wells, ME; Karen (Gagnon) Brown and her husband Stephen of South Berwick, ME; Kenneth Gagnon, and his wife Darlyn of Wellesley, MA; Lisa (Gagnon) Fischer and  her husband John, of Wells, ME; Sandra (Gagnon) Rockett and her husband Rick of Wells, ME; step-sons, Darrin Bisson of Clayton, NC and Michael Bisson of Barrington, NH. She was a loving grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Claire will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor and sarcastic wit. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Martin Church of St Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 120 Maple St., Somersworth, NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude.
