Kittery - Claudette Marie MacLeod, 78, passed away Friday July 30th at home surrounded by her family and friends, succumbing to her 13-year battle with kidney disease.

Claudette was a graduate of Dover High. She spent much of her adult life living and working in Portsmouth before retiring to Florida, returning back to Kittery a couple years ago to be closer to family.

Claudette loved to ride and drive horses, raising several of them during their retirement in Florida. She was also an avid kayaker exploring many of the rivers in central Florida with her paddling group.

Claudette was predeceased by her husband Harry MacLeod Jr in January of 2018, is survived by her three Children Colleen Montminy and husband Stanley Montminy, Neil MacLeod and his wife Marjorie MacLeod, Debbie Moore and her husband Joseph Moore, along with her Brother Peter Bergeron, and six Grandchildren Kate, Morgan, Casey, Maxwell, Ayden and Jackson, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services: A time of visitation is planned for Thursday, August 5th, from 2-4pm at the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd, Kittery Maine. A memorial service will start promptly at 4p following the visitation. Care or the Macleod Family has been entrusted to the JS Pelkey & Son Funeral Home.
