Portland - Constance Nutter d'Entremont "Connie" passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Maine Medical Center, due to declining health, with family by her side.
Connie was born August 27, 1944 in Sanford, Maine to the late Robert W. Nutter and Barbara H. Nutter. She grew up in Portland, Maine and graduated from Deering High School in 1962, where she excelled in field hockey and basketball. She then attended Nasson College in Springvale, Maine and graduated in 1964.
After graduation, Connie moved to California where she traveled extensively. Connie was a person who loved life and adventure. She was always there for family and friends in need and loved by all.
Connie married the love of her life Philip d'Entremont and moved to Moosehead Lake and enjoyed the activities the Maine outdoors offered.
Connie is pre deceased by her parents and stepmother Mary S. Nutter, her husband and sister Terry A. Nutter. She is survived by her siblings: Nancy E. Scott of Biddeford, Robert W. Nutter Jr. of Kennebunk , Cindy L. Golden (Mark) of Phillips and William E. Nutter (Cheryl) of Georgetown, MA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Karen Compton, Jeremy Compton, Lisa Golden, Tommy Golden, Sarah Scott, James Nutter, Robert W. Nutter III, Matthew Nutter and Jennifer Nutter.
Connie's family wishes to extend their thanks to Maine Medical Center especially SCU 4 and R5 for the loving care and attention she received. A special thanks to her friends and staff at The Woods at the Canco for making Connie stay there so enjoyable, and to thank the nurses at Amedisys home health for the wonderful care she received.
