Freedom- David Edward Barnaby (83) the last of 13 children by Charles & Eleanor Barnaby joined the Lord October 2, 2023.

He left behind his Loving wife of sixty two years Nancy L. Wood and son Richard A. Barnaby and his wife Kelli. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy.

Grandchildren; Joshua Barnaby, Kyle & Courtney Hatch. Many Nieces, Nephews, precious family & friends.

He graduated Portsmouth High School class of 1958 during which he worked at Badgers Farm Creamery. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served for four years and was involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Returning home he returned to Badgers Farm Creamery then to New England Telephone which he retired from in 1998 after 32 years. David & Nancy then sold their family home in Portsmouth to retire in a small lake house in Freedom, N.H. they had been working so hard to have for their future.

He had over 60 year's membership at  the Masonic Lodge of N.H.

A Faithful member of First Christian Church, Kittery Point Maine where he participated in the choir and was a Deacon where after many years was presented with the second only title of "Deacon Emeritus"

He cherished his family time. Gathering for holidays and especially family reunions at their place in Freedom on the Lake surrounded by young and the "aging", good food and lots of fun telling tales of his immediate family, parents, brothers & sisters with all the kids joining in.

Friends are invited to visit with Davids family on Tuesday October 10 from 5-7pm in the JS Pelkey Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. Davids funeral will be celebrated in his church the First Christian Church 542 Haley Road in Kittery Point on October 11 at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to his church.
