Obituary

David M. Hayes, 57, passed away on March 8th, comfortably in his home surrounded by his loving daughters and various family members and close friends. Born in Flint, MI on April 25, 1963 he was the fourth of seven children. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1981 and began traveling throughout the United States. He settled in Portsmouth, NH in 1988 and worked various trades. He eventually met his future wife Julie R. Hayes, in 1994 and their twin daughters were born in 1995. David has spent the last 25 years working in the HVAC industry as a certified technician and electrician for companies such as Lamprey Brothers and Borderline Fuels. He has spent the last nine years working as the Service Manager for East Coast Heating & Air Conditioning.

Growing up in Michigan David was always a huge fan of the University of Michigan football team and the Detroit Lions. He also had a love of music, spending time with his friends and loved ones, and renovating the home he bought with his wife. He was devoted to his work and highly regarded in his industry. Coworkers sought his knowledge and leadership and customers loved his infectious and charismatic attitude. His greatest devotion in life was his daughters who he raised as a single parent for the last 18 years after the passing of his wife.

David is survived by his twin daughters Jordan and Jami Hayes, his sisters Karen Card, Janice Hayes, and Jill Bender, his sister-in-law Amy McManus and nephew Dylan McManus and several other in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express the upmost gratitude to all the the staff associated with the Seacoast Cancer Center, the Neurology Surgery team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and the staff of Wentworth Homecare & Hospice. In leu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
