Deion Anthoni
Stewart
d. Apr 28, 2021
Deion Anthoni Stewart, 25, of Eliot, ME passed unexpectedly on April 28th, 2021. We are devastated by this loss and completely unprepared.
Deion is the son of Alesha Stewart and Brian Astbury Jr. and the brother to Abagail Astbury of Eliot, ME. Born on August 5th, 1995, Deion immediately filled the lives of those around him with joy and was adored by his family.
Deion was passionate about sports. He was always listening to sports radio or watching any game he could find. His knowledge of everything sports related was impressive and he was the go to person for sports related facts.
Deion played baseball his entire life from a young age through High School and into College. When Deion was on the pitcher's mound all eyes were on him and he would lose himself in the game. Deion's passion for baseball was felt by anyone who watched him play. Called in to close the game, Deion always got his strikes. He created many strong relationships through his time on the field.
He spent 5 years working at Marshall's Rental as a Lead Installer. His presence is sorely missed and his loss is deeply felt.
Deion became a big brother when he was 11 years old. Since the first time he held Abby in his arms and his eyes lit up he never stopped being by her side and supporting her in all she did. Watching and cheering her on from the sidelines of her sporting events to watching her TikTok videos while making fun of her dancing. There was always a fight over who would eat the raspberries, he would only give her one day and then say they were fair game. Deion loved and protected Abby, to watch their dedication and love for each other was an honor.
On any given weekend you could catch Deion at TJ's in Portsmouth. When you entered TJ's every person who saw Deion would smile, he was always the life of the party. A man of few words, amazing dance moves and a killer beard. He has left behind an extensive list of family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Alesha and Brian and sister Abby, Deion is survived by Grandparents Adele and Billy Scritchfield, Great Grandparents Antoinette Caliro, Joseph and Mary Caliro, cousins Kailyn and Cassidy Bonham, Craig Astbury and Sean Ireland, Godparents Candy Given and Phill Bonham, his Aunt Kristie Astbury along with an extended group of family and friends that loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his grandparents Brian Sr. and Jacqueline Astbury and Great Grandmother Ola Mae Stewart.
