Denise
Verville
Nov 28, 1955 — May 8, 2021
Somersworth - Denise Verville, 65, of Somersworth, NH passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Denise was born on November 28, 1955 to the late Alderic Lord and Edith (Ricker) Lord. She graduated from Somersworth High School in 1973 and began working as a hair dresser for a few years. She was employed as a benefit analyst for almost 30 years at a local insurance company.
Denise was a kind, loving, caring mom, grandmother, and friend. She could always be seen supporting her grandchildren at dance recitals, TaeKwon Do tournments, concerts, and various sporting events (volleyball, track, football, soccer, baseball games). If you couldn't spot her on the sidelines or in the stands you may have heard her cheering them on as loud as she could. When her daughters were growing up she was their cheerleading coach. She was known as "Coach Mom" to others on the team.
Denise also loved her dog and grandpups. They would all go running over to her waiting for their puppy massage or belly rubs. She had a love for all things snowmen. They could be seen throughout her home year round. In the winter she would always make an excited giggle when the snow began to fall.
Denise had a contagious laugh, a smile that could brighten a room. She was a strong, determined fighter that looked for the positive in any situation. She was a talented artist and crafty. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, dancing, reading, building puzzles, playing games with family and country music.
Denise is survived by her two daughters, Tara Verville of Somersworth, Laurie McCallion and her husband Thomas McCallion of Somersworth; her two grandchildren Alexis McCallion and Kyle Johnson of Somersworth; and her gracious bone marrow donor Drew Karioflies and his wife Laura of Cincinnati, Ohio. We are forever grateful and they will always be considered part of the family.
A ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Holy Trinity Cemetery followed by a celebration of life. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia Society or Cancer Research.
