Eliot – Dennis Wayne Phillips, 70 of Main Street in Eliot died peacefully on July 17, 2017 at his home.
Born in Portsmouth on March 25,1947 he was a son of the late Wayne H. And Jeanette ( Tapley ) Phillips. He was raised in Kittery attending local schools and enjoyed most of his adult life in Portsmouth until he made Eliot his home with family in the late 1990's.
Dennis enjoyed membership in the Salvation Army Church during his time in Portsmouth and later cherished the closeness and friends he made at the South Eliot Advent Christian Church. Dennis looked forward to the men's breakfast at Norma's in York once each week and the fellowship of his church men's breakfast as well. He enjoyed time spent with family at camp and usually was seen on his bike wherever he needed to go. He enjoyed his work at fishermans pier later known as Pier II in Portsmouth and for many years at The Rosa. He was never with out the companionship of a dog and cared for them with love .
He is survived by his family, his sister and brother in law with whom he made his home Cheryl and Steve Bowden of Eliot, Jeanna Morse of Dover, nephews Todric Bowden of Haverhill, MA, Toby Bowden and his fiancee' Chalis Rees of North Berwick and Randy Morse of Bedford, NH, several cousins and aunts and uncles as well as special nephews and a niece , Josh, Caleb, LJ and Martyna.
