Berwick - Donald Bernard McCabe 74, passed away on January 13, 2021. Born December 21, 1946 in Rochester, NH, the oldest son to Lucille & Bernard Charles McCabe.

Don is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Reed) McCabe, four children, Michelle Dube, Donald McCabe, Jr., Patricia Pelletier & Robert McCabe. Don is also survived by his life long friend, brother Norman McCabe.

Don spent his life living in the community, which he served for 30 years at the Somersworth Fire department, retiring as Captain in June 1999.

Known to his family and friends as 'Mac', Don devoted his life to caring for his family and friends! A loyal husband, a devoted and strong father. A gentle, welcoming Grampa and Opa to his 15 grandchildren, and a great-grampa to 3. A beloved and loving uncle, godfather, brother and brother-in-law.

Don spent his time supporting his family and friends in all events and activities. His passion's included enjoying a motorcycle ride with Carol. He was always found on the sidelines or bleachers, watching sporting events of many of his children & grandchildren, always chasing baseball, hockey, never missing games.

Services will be private and invite only. The family asks for no flowers, in lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choice. All guests who attend the time of visitation are always expected to wear masks due to Covid-19 and will be asked to maintain social distancing per CDC guidelines.
