Doris made many friends there, as she was always quick to help others in any way she could. She worked at Watts Fluid Air for more than 30 years and made many friends whom she met regularly for lunch. She looked forward to the yearly company picnics with the lifelong and fabulous friends she'd made.
Doris and her husband Barry, Sr. spent many good decades in their home on a quiet dirt road by a creek with horseshoe crabs where everybody was welcome! They shared many great pots of coffee, well-done cheeseburgers, laughs and road-trips with their son, Barry, Jr., whom Doris was more proud of than anything. She loved him so much, she even loved to surprise him in college with visits to his Fraternity! :) Doris and Barry, Sr. were excellent parents and then grandparents together, taking their granddaughters to favorite places like Story Land, York's Wild Kingdom, Papa Gino's, Goldenrod, Sebago Lake and any other places they could dream of! They loved a nice restaurant and knew how to live. Doris would have bought you the moon if she could.
She was well-known for her exacting attention to detail particularly in matters where it counted, like the recipe for Nestle Toll House cookies, which she followed to a T.
Doris was a grand gamer, too. You did not want to come up against her in a game of checkers or Boggle! And she had a brilliant mind for math. She loved going to the casinos with her sisters, Shirley and Gloria, and enjoyed their visits to Florida. She loved to go see her brother, Ron, at his lakeside house, too. Family and friends were her life. She spent her later years closely tending to her beloved cat, Harold. She saw to his every comfort, tucking him in with warm towels from the dryer.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Barry Fritz, Sr., her granddaughter, Bethany Anne Fritz, her sister, Shirley Green, and brother, Ronald Ducharme.
She is survived by her son, Barry, Jr., and his wife, Roxanne; her granddaughters, Sarah Lachance and partner Trevor Bartlett, Stephanie Lachance and friends Riley and Fiona, and Breanna Fritz and partner Jeremy Knapp, Great-Grandsons, Joshua and Waylon Knapp, her sister, Gloria and husband, Peter Britt, as well as special nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
We're going to miss you so, GG!
