Douglas R. Spinney Jr., 71, of South Berwick, passed away surrounded by loved ones. A devoted brother, uncle, and friend, Doug will be remembered for his warmth, humor, kindness, strength, and wisdom, which he shared with all who knew him.

Affectionately known as "UB" by his family, a nickname inspired by his likeness to the beloved movie character Uncle Buck, Doug brought laughter and joy wherever he went. He cherished time spent at the family camp, creating lasting memories hunting, fishing, and relaxing in the peace of the outdoors.

Doug had a deep appreciation for good food, a sharp wit for well-timed jokes, and a playful love of the casino, where he enjoyed many fun visits. His easygoing nature, sense of humor, and love of life will be dearly missed.

Doug was predeceased by his father, Douglas Spinney Sr., and his mother, Priscilla Spinney. He is survived by his brothers, David Spinney and his wife Eleanor of North Berwick, and Dana Spinney of Springvale. His four nieces, Michele Taro and husband Jeff, Amanda Spinney, Magan Priest and husband Warren, Kendra Abrams and husband Bill, along with five great nieces and two great nephews

His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever treasure the countless ways he brightened their lives.
