Obituary

Eleanor Gilman, 84, of Kittery, Maine, passed away peacefully in her residence at the Greenwood Center in Sanford, Maine on  April 27th, 2017.

She was born in Biddeford, Maine to Helen (Cote) Trull and Stanley A. Trull. Eleanor spent her early childhood growing up in the Strawberry Banke section of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Later,the family moved to Kittery, Maine where Eleanor attended local schools and participated in the color guard as a majorette . She graduated with honors in 1950 from Traip Academy.

In 1950, Eleanor married Joseph W. Moulton, Sr. Together they moved to Enfield, Connecticut and had four children. She later remarried and moved to Rutland,Vermont. She moved back to Enfield, in 1983 and at the age of 50 transformed her life from housewife to being employed as a caretaker and security guard - at times working three jobs at once.
In 1997 Eleanor moved back to southern Maine, where she spent the remainder of her life in a happy retirement.

Throughout her life Eleanor made numerous friends and up until her passing maintained her friendship with her lifetime friend Lorraine. Eleanor was dedicated to her family, children and grandchildren. She was a stylish person that wore beautiful outfits every day, and never failed to compliment the beauty she found in others. Everyone who met her couldn't help but smile at her quick wit and wonderfully infectious laugh.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Stanley Trull Jr. She leaves behind her younger brother, Frank Trull, and his wife Judy of Eliot, Maine; a daughter, Sharon Clark, and her husband, Mike, of Kittery, Maine; a daughter, Karen Moulton, and her partner, Bill Mannocchio, of Avon, Connecticut; a son,Michael G. Moulton of Somersworth, and his partner Lori; a son, Bill Moulton, and his wife Chau of Enfield, CT; a granddaughter, Nicole Clark of Portland, Maine; twin grandsons, Jason T. Moulton of South Windsor, CT and Jeffrey T. Moulton of Rocky Hill, CT; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

There will be a private graveside service for the family on Friday, May 19th. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Eleanor ' s life at the Kittery Lion ' s Club on Saturday, May 20th at 1:00PM
