Obituary

Kittery - Elinore (Hodgdon) Marsh, 83, of Kittery died September 12th, 2018. Elinore, was the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn (Spinney) Hodgdon of Newington, NH and loving wife of Ronald Marsh. She passed away peacefully at home after a long illness, with Ron by her side.

She is the last of the four Hodgdon sisters, having been predeceased by her sisters Nancy Cullen of Greenland, NH, Priscilla Fuller of Farmington, NH, and Susan Young of Portsmouth, NH. She is survived by her children John Chick of Greenland, NH and Sherri Labrie of Las Vegas, NV, Alicia Cuttle of Kittery, Pamela Fuller of South Berwick and Kimberly St. Cyr of Rochester. She'll be fondly remembered by family friend Lori Chick. She was the loving grandmother to her grandchildren Amber Fuller, Jason Fuller, Stephanie Reynolds, Jennifer Chick, Jay and Katie Cuttle, Tom and Kayla Fuller, and Savannah Brown as well as several nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many great-nieces and nephews.

Elinore was born in Portsmouth on June 22, 1935 and lived in Newington on the Hodgdon's family farm. until they were forced to relocate the farm to Greenland by the Air Force. The Hodgdon family's turkey farm remained a focus throughout her life. She worked for many years as a secretary at Lord & Keenan, Callahan Oil, Ben's Auto Body and she retired from the Passport Center. Elinore married Ron in 1988 and moved to Kittery, ME where they have lived since.

Elinore will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her endless love of family, all the wonderful special recipes, her love of gardening, wild flowers, candles, the beach and ocean, and of course finding treasures yard saling with her sister's son Saturday mornings.

Services: Calling hours will be held at J. S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Rd., Kittery, Maine, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 4-6pm followed by a short service promptly at 6p.
