Portsmouth- Eric Richard Hutchins, 53 of Sims Ave in Portsmouth died on June 4, 2022 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a hard fought battle against cancer.
Eric was born in Portsmouth on May 21, 1969 a son of Raymond E. And Jacqueline ( Hutchins) Hutchins. He was raised in Eliot attending local schools, graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School with the class of 1987. He furthered his education at SMVTI studying Electrical Technology.
Early in life Eric enjoyed Scouting, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout as well as time spent with his close group of lifelong friends.
Time spent at the family camp growing up as well as many years of enjoyment there with friends as an adult was cherished.
Eric worked at "ON Semiconductor", formerly National Semiconductor and Fairchild Semiconductor. He had a strong aptitude for building computers and an in-depth knowledge, which made him a valued employee and friend to many of his coworkers.
He is survived by his Mother Jacqueline Hutchins of Dover, brother and sister in law Mark and Stephanie Hutchins of Eliot, a nephew Christopher, and nieces Nicole and Vanessa.
Friends are invited to visit with Eric's family on Thursday from 5-7pm in the JS Pelkey and Son Funeral Home 125 Old Post Road Kittery Maine 03904. A funeral will be celebrated on Friday at 10am in the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot. A reception will be held after cemetery services, at the "Links at Outlook" 310 Portland Street South Berwick Maine 03901, all are invited to attend.
