Esther Elmeda Lane, 87, of Kittery, Maine, passed away peacefully in her home on August 30, 2023. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 64 years, Harry Richard Lane Sr., who left four short years ago to prepare for her heavenly arrival.

Together, they had a daughter, Louise, and a son, Harry, Jr. Over the years, their family grew with their grandson, Carmen, and granddaughters, Sandy, Joann, and Lisa; great-grandson Sebastian and Corey; great-granddaughters Mercedes, Madison, Emily, Aubrey, Sydney, and Camryn; great-great daughters Sophia, Octavia, and Kaia; and great-great-grandson Remington.

Esther, with her Air Force husband Harry, traveled the world before settling at their home in Kittery, Maine, for decades. She graduated from Portsmouth Beauty College, receiving her diploma in all branches of beauty culture. She initially worked at the famous Wentworth by the Sea before opening her own business, Esther's Beauty Shop.

Esther made lifelong friends throughout her journey and continued to make friends until her final breath. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, playing pinocle, cribbage, chess, checkers, Monopoly, and Scrabble with family and friends.

Visitation and Service will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023, beginning at 9 a.m. at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home in Kittery, ME, followed by a processional to Brooks Cemetery for her final resting place next to her husband.
