Durham - Evangeline Saucier, 94, of Durham and formerly of Somersworth and Rochester, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Inn at Spruce Wood in Durham. Angie was the widow of Clarence L. Saucier.

She was born on August 21, 1921 in Eagle Lake, Maine a daughter of John V. and Modeste (Paradis) Saucier.
Angie and Clarence lived in Rollinsford for ten years and then bought their first house in Somersworth, where they lived until their retirement in 1982.

Angie worked in local shoe shops around the area until her retirement. A year after retiring, Angie and Clarence bought a little place on Eastern Avenue in Rochester. They were happy there until Clarence passed away in the Fall of 1984.

She loved to work in her garden, enjoyed having fun and she was a great yodeler. She loved to travel and did a lot of it for 25 years with her companion, Delphis Roberge, and spending their winters in Florida.
Angie and Delphis traveled cross country in his motor home; went to Alaska and Hawaii; enjoying lots of adventures together until Del's passing in the spring of 2015.

A son, Roy Saucier, also predeceased her.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Moores of Somersworth; three granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

Bon voyage dear Mom….. you will be missed.

Services: A time of visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 12noon on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, with a service immediately following in the funeral home at 12noon. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
