Fernande J. Bourque, 91, formerly of West High Street, died February 27, 2013 at Bellamy Fields in Dover. She was born in Newmarket October 8, 1921 the daughter of Fortuant and Clara (Roy) LaChance. She was a graduate of St. Mary s Grammar School in Newmarket and Newmarket High School. Fernande s husband, Eddy Bourque died in 1992. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Martin Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir, was a member (and former Vice president) of the Ladies Guild, the Welcoming Committee and the Christmas Fair Committee. Fernande and Eddy owned and operated Somersworth Dry Cleaners for many years. Members of the family include her aunts, Angeline LaVallee of Somersworth and Eugenie Gilbert of Center Falls, RI, dear friends, Janine and her husband Michael Gilbert and Nicole and her husband Kevin Runde, as well as their daughters, Elizabeth and Isabella, of Dover, nephews, Daniel and Roger Labrie of Florida. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4pm at the Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in St. Martin Church, Somersworth. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Dover.
