Frank J. St. Onge, resident of Rochester, passed away from natural causes at the age of 65 on Tuesday January 19th, 2016.
Frank was born August 10, 1950 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Arthur J. St. Onge and Alice R. St. Onge (Millette). He graduated from Lowell High School in 1968 and entered the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War on the DMZ line in Korea.
He married Gabrielle Georgoulis, also of Lowell Massachusetts, and had two children, Matthew St. Onge and Kathryn (Katie) Eaton (St. Onge). He was employed by Raytheon in Andover, Massachusetts and before that he was a Chef at The Prince Grotto in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Frank was also a talented musician for over 30 years. He was the lead singer in his band, but he also played the harmonica, guitar and drums. His band performed at a lot of gigs in Lowell Mass, Nashua N.H. and the surrounding areas. His band was even offered a record deal, but he turned it down because he wanted to stay home and raise his family with his wife. Aside from music as his passion, he also really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, cooking, apple picking with his family, taking trips up to York Beach, doing family outings at Canobie Lake Park in Salem N.H. and going to Salem Mass every October. He also really enjoyed watching horror movies. He was known as a real 'horror movie connoisseur'.
The loss of Frank is devastating as he was loved by so many, especially by his children and grandchildren. Frank had a presence about him that commanded attention, he was always the life of the party. It wouldn't matter how bad your day was going, he always knew just the right thing to say to make you smile. He was a amazing Husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Arthur St. Onge and Alice St. Onge, his wife Gabrielle St. Onge (Georgoulis), his brother in law Andrew Meyers of South Boston Massachusetts and by his father and mother in law, Charles Georgoulis and Marie Georgoulis of Lowell Massachusetts. He is survived by his daughter Katie Eaton (St. Onge) of Portsmouth, N.H., his son Matthew St. Onge of Temple, N.H. his grandchildren born to Katie Eaton: Makenzie Hicks, Alexis Hicks and Jameson Eaton and Isabella St. Onge who was born to Matthew St. Onge, his Son in Law Ryan Eaton of Portsmouth, N.H., his sisters Anna Harding of Lowell, Massachusetts and Helen St. Onge of Dracut, Massachusetts, his brothers Maurice St. Onge of Hudson, N.H. and Leo St. Onge of Pelham, N.H., and his sister in laws Diane St. Onge of Hudson, N.H., Carmen St, Onge of Pelham, N.H., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was very loved and will be missed more than he could possibly ever know.
"Grief never ends...but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith...it is the price of love."
