Obituary

Frank J. Casaletto

Kittery, ME – Frank J. Casaletto, 82, of Kittery, ME, passed away on September 2, 2025. Born and raised in East Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Augustino "Pinky" Casaletto and Maria DiBattista. Frank later moved to Maine, where he built a life full of community and service.

Frank was predeceased by his wife, Melody (Pratt) Casaletto, and his son, Frank J. Casaletto Jr. He is survived by his daughter Julie Casaletto, supported by her partner Patrick White; his daughter Kerri Dalton and her husband Robert of Amesbury, MA; and his son Anthony Casaletto of Dunnellon, FL. Frank was a proud grandfather to Kerri, Dalton, Garrett, Tori, Rylee, Robby, and Danny, and great-grandfather to Zillah and Lachlan.

He was also predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Johnny, and his sister, Joanna, and is survived by his brothers, Richie and Robert, and sister, Marlene. Frank's family will forever cherish his love, resilience, and unwavering support.

In his later years, Frank accomplished a personal milestone by earning his high school diploma at the age of 51, a testament to his dedication to self-improvement and his belief that it's never too late to pursue new goals.

A Master Pipefitter and Master Plumber, Frank retired from Massachusetts General Hospital and was a proud member of Local 12 Plumbers' Union. He was also a dedicated volunteer at York Hospital, where his kindness and humor touched many lives. Frank became "Ambassador" at Kittery Estates, where he quickly made lasting friendships with his infectious smile and generous spirit.

While Frank was a lifelong Bruins fan, his true passion (besides hockey) was snacks—and his loyalty to Little Debbie was unwavering. If you saw Frank, you could bet he had a box of Little Debbie's finest in hand. Frank's love for those treats was so legendary, it could've been considered his second love, only rivaled by his gift for making everyone laugh and his ability to brighten any room.

Frank will be dearly missed, but his legacy of humor, friendship, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
